Thank you to the Arts Council of Rockland and the Decentralization Program of the New York State Council on the Arts for awarding an Individual Artist Grant for my proposal of "Rockland Renaissance" a series of oil paintings of the Hudson Valley. The works in this exhibition are my interpretations of the Rockland County landscapes first captured on canvas in the late 19th century by the Hudson River School which is widely acknowledged to be Americas's first Art movement. This exhibit travelled throughout Rockland County.
Thank you to William Heapps at Pig Pen Studios- You taught me so much about design, graphics and execution - without your enthusiam I would still be waitressing.
Thank you to the Art Students League for my early studies with David Leffel, Sherrie McGraw and Gregg Kreutz. Painting under their guidance was priceless. Years later, your Artist in Residency award at the Vytlacil Campus with a Ruth Katzman Scholarship and later for awarding another residency with a Distinguished Artist Scholarship further advanced my direction.
Thank you to The Ridgewood Art Institute where I studied with Master painter
John Phillip Osborne ~ I am forever grateful. The support of all the wonderful painters at Ridgewood is immeasurable.

Art and music shine a light of meaning on ordinary life,
and through them we are able to confront the things that trouble us
and to find consolation and peace in their presence.
